Healing, the importance of community, self-care, psychedelics, and connecting back with the elements are all part of this amazing episode!

We start out getting to know Ian-Michael by learning about his awakening experiences, meditation experiences, life experiences and his journey inward. He also reminisces about his time at Esalen and the work that he has done there, and the love that he has for the land of Big Sur. He talks about how Esalen has the elements in such abundance and he found it to be a profound place of healing and the honour that it was to help transform he campus and meet and work with the Elders, teachers, leaders and practitioners there. When he left Esalen, he made a commitment to continue the healing work he was doing and thus created Holos in Costa Rica. He talks about the long process that is required in building an eco village, that really requires listening to the land and the keepers of the land.
We talk about the importance of water and it’s sacredness as well as healing.
We then get into plant medicine, psychedelics and that world. Ian-Michael shares his story of healing with us and the impact that they’ve had on his life. “These teachers, allies, tools have a lot to offer. Each of these plant medicines have ways that they work with these people to help with different things. It’s really important to work with people who have a grounding in the traditions as well as those in western medicine in regards to the science.”
We then get into talking about neuroplasticiy and how these plants can assist in re-wiring our brains in a good way.
Ian-Michael then talks about the importance of self care, communing with nature, and being in your own presence of nature. It’s very easy to get caught up in everything that is swirling around and it’s important to find your centre again. He talks about how self-care also changes with the different seasons of life.
We then find out what Ian-Michael’s go-to thing to do to shift his state of being! He talks about the importance of Gratitude.
